I have lived at Old Farm for almost a year now (25'-26' school year in a phase 1 apartment and now summer of 2026 in phase 2), for residency purposes. I plan to continue living here for the following school year as well because of how great it has been for me.
It is definitely the best value you can get for your money in Logan. The apartments, especially phase 1, have slightly dated interiors, but that isn't to say that they don't fulfill their purpose of housing college students with a fully functioning kitchen and recently installed AC unit. If you're wanting a more luxurious apartment with marble counters and modern interiors, then go to 800 block where you'll be paying twice the price for the "nicer" and more "modern" look.
As for maintenance and management, I have no complaints. The management is so helpful and will respond to a maintenance order so fast. One night, our water heater wasn't working, and at around 9 PM I believe, they came in and flipped the circuit breaker and got the problem fixed real quick for us. That is one of the great things about having the management on site. If it is a bigger problem that requires more maintenance, then they will get that handled either themselves, or through a different company. Another example of this great management was when we had a problem with our plumbing. Well, they had someone look at it, then replaced the whole toilet to fix the problem for us. People need to understand that they are willing to pay money out of their own pockets to ensure that the tenants are getting a comfortable living situation.
Some people have complained about the parking in their reviews, which is an understandable complaint and possibly the only negative part about living at Old Farm. However, do not let this scare you entirely from living here. Yes it is true that if you are double parked behind someone past 9 AM, then you will be booted and it will cost $75. I have had this happen because I completely forgot I double parked and went to class without thinking anything of it. The management will send you many texts and warnings, reminding you to move your car before it gets booted. I just didn't see this until after my class. Management does not get joy out of having the booting company take college student's money. You have to think about why they do this. If you had to drive for something important past 9 AM and you were blocked in, you would be upset. In the case where I got booted, I had blocked someone in who needed to get out, who had to get a ride from a friend. I felt terrible for this, and definitely learned from my mistake.
In the case that you have to double park (often at a time past 10 PM), you just need to set a reminder or an alarm before 9 AM to go move your car into a normal spot that isn't double parking. You'd be surprised how quickly spots free up early in the morning as different tenants leave. So once you learn this, then parking does not become a problem. Old Farm has done the best with the amount of space they have.
Some final positives of Old Farm are its proximity to campus. In the warmer months, you can choose to trek up the hill and get to your class drenched in sweat if you want, or you can take any of the many Aggie shuttle busses that frequently pass the nearby intersection and blue square apartments. The Aggie shuttle is a blessing when it is cold or hot and I don't feel like walking. They get around fast, and they have an app that lets you track them so you can get good at perfectly catching your bus... or in some cases, just barely missing it, then awkwardly standing there waiting for it to come back around.
I highly recommend Old Farm if you can get into one of their apartments!
